Neat, simple, traditional and homely- that’s the words which define Kew House situated in Richmond, South-West London, UK. Designed by Piercy & Company it proved to be the best combination of steel and wood. The construction was completed in 2014. It has also listed as one of the best new buildings of 2015 by RIBA awards. The construction itself was difficult and commendable at the same time. Whole house is made of two pre-fabricated steel volumes which were placed behind the preserved nineteenth century stable wall. Sunshine 60, a mixed-use development, is a multistory building positioned in Tokyo, Japan, construction for the skyscraper was initiated in 1973 which was completed and opened in year 1978. The structure rises to the top height of 239.7 meters to the rooftop residing 60 floors exclusive of 5 underground rooms. On completion the structure with the tallness was highest structure in Asia which outshined in the year 1985. The foundation of the structure is built with reinforced concrete and the lower section is also reinforced concrete formation with a steel skeleton whilst the higher tower is a steel skeleton with gashed trim walls; these distinctive walls were implanted in the midst of columns in the core which let the walls to imitate to distortions in the steel casing instigated by quakes and wind gradient abetting to reassure essential steadfastness.
